OK, my next project is the restarting of tactical training classes at Kettlefoot. Randy Cain has agreed to come to Bristol to restart his training classes, starting with Tactical Pistol 101. http://www.guntactics.com/Handgun.htm If all goes well, we may be able to have second level pistol classes, Handgun 2, the fast and exciting Carbine 1 and Carbine 2, and perhaps the comprehensive Shotgun class. There are even classes for Law Enforcement only if your department or fellow officers would like a specialized class.

Personally, I have been fortunate to attend multiple classes taught by Randy, including pistol, rifle and shotgun and had a real ball and learned a lot in each class. I always felt I was a better shooter and more likely to win should I ever need to use the skills Randy taught me, and I am looking forward to repeating as many classes as possible as I have always learned new ideas and techniques in each class. I am certain that Randy can make you a better shooter too, and like me, you will want to have him back for additional classes. Also, it does not matter if you are 20 years old or 60plus, we have had all age groups in the classes, women and men, single folks and couples. Randy is a super teacher and his goal is to make you a better shooter and to make sure you get your moneys worth and more!

If you want to sign up, and space is limited as Randy only takes a small class to be sure to allow individual instruction, you need to sign up as soon as possible at, http://www.guntactics.com/application_for_training.htm. This will be a three day class, starting on Friday Oct 1. Friday with a review of basics and fundamentals, then on Saturday we will have a night shoot as part of the day. Then on Sunday we will wrap up and review all the lessons and “graduate.” The night shooting Saturday evening is quite the eye opener, and you will be truly amazed how quickly your wheels fall off (as it did me) when you find out how very different it is shooting in the dark, while trying to manage a flashlight, and all the other things that go wrong after dark! Here are Randy’s credentials.

    Hi all,

Several people have asked about the training investment for the three day Tactical Pistol Class 101 at Kettlefoot Oct 1-3, 2010. The class investment is $475 plus $50 Kettlefoot range fee, for a total of $525, and you need to register at http://www.guntactics.com/application_for_training.htm, be sure to select the Kettlefoot Class. The life you save may be your own.

    As the commercial goes,

    Cost of Glock 17- $500
    Cost of ammunition- $75.00
Cost of advanced training - $475 plus range fees
Cost of coming out on top if the crap hits the fan- Priceless

You shouldn’t get the cheapest guns out there, as they jam often
You shouldn’t get the cheapest ammo out there- hollow points work better than full metal jackets
You shouldn’t get your training just from a DVD- DVDs are going to tell you personally what you are doing both wrong and right!

I have bumped into several folks I know who would benefit greatly from this class. I guess it goes back to the joke, "Denial is more than a river in Egypt"
