WHAT’S NEW:
1. The 5 Stand Range (next to the warehouse) is in use and 95% complete. Final touches finished by spring 2013.
2. Berms were added and the concrete walkway extended on the main rifle range.
3. Be aware that we have begun the lead reclamation process on the trap/skeet fields – completion 12-18 months. *Note: the crew will stop working if you want to shoot just let them know.
4. The Sporting Clays Tournament & Skeet Shoot held on the 3rd Saturday of each month has been temporarily suspended – probably until next spring.
5. We plan to have all trap, skeet, sporting clays, & 5 stand ranges fully automated and self-serve sometime in the spring 2013.
USE OF FULLY AUTOMATIC FIREARMS: After a 4 month trial period, the board voted to allow the use of fully automatic firearms. The guidelines are included in this news letter and are also posted at the Auxiliary Range and Main Rifle Range.
REMINDERS:
1. NO HUNTING on club property and No shooting at animals for “sport”. We’ve had 4 different animals shot this year.
2. RANGE MAINTENANCE: It is the responsibility of each member to help keep our facility clean. Please take that a minute to pick up your trash, hulls, shells, targets, etc.
3. DUES: Renewal notices go out in February by E-mail or Regular mail for those without an email. **It is your responsibility to notify the club secretary if you do not receive a renewal notice. Payment due by April 1st.
4. MEMBERSHIP CARDS: Carry or Wear your card at all times!
5. FOR SALE: Hats & T-shirts are $10, and Polo shirts are $18.
INDOOR .22 RIFLE LEAGUE starts Thursday November 1st
IDPA matches every 4th Saturday
Trophy Shoot every 1st Saturday
Registered Trap Shoot every 4th Saturday (1st & 4th thru October and every Saturday in November & December)
League and Big 50 on Thursday afternoon/evening
IR 50/50 on Thursday 6-7:30pm through October
**Each discipline exists because of volunteers. If you can, please consider getting involved and donating some time. Talk to a coordinator to learn more.
