New building?

Noticed a new building going up just across the drive from the upper rifle range - just wondering what's gonna live there?

Also...anxiously awaiting grass to grow on the new target pistol ranges...

The new building will serve as an IDPA/Pistol management area. The IDPA and "hopefully" centerfire rifle matches will be managed from this area. It will also be available for other functions on a "reservation" basis. The Virginia State IDPA shoot will be managed from there also.
I hope to have the backer boards up on the new pistol range shortly so we may open it up to the members. Improvements to the Centerfire range are planned for late fall. (after deer season). A new (state of the art sporting/5-stand) shotgun range will be started behind the clubhouse in the Spring of 2010.
The indoor range is still in the long range plans and improvements to the archery range are ongoing.
A lot of hard work has gone into improving Kettlefoot over the last few years. If you like what is happening, give a word of thanks to the board. They are really trying to make Kettlefoot the finest facility anywhere.
