Extended Centerfire rifle range ?

Wayne , This may have been addressed in meetings etc ... But, Has anyone mentioned an extended rifle range ( 600 to 1000 yds. ) ? It seems like it would be a good draw for the club ( F-class , FT-R class and high power ) I don't even know if this possible given the terrain and space limitations.

Hello Mike,
We are presently planning a spring redo of the cenerfire range.This will include: extending the range to a full 300 yds, with backer boards at the 300. Widening the enire field to accomodate more 200 yd backers, Better access and veiw of the 300 yd area, Lead recovery and safety burms behind each backer board.
The current site of the centerfire range will not allow us to extend any farther than 300 yds.
There are no plans to build another range at this time,but if we purchase additional property, we may look into a 600yd or longer range in the future.

Thanks Wayne , Any improvment of the centerfire range would be most welcome. I had noticed the new lanes next to the pistol range .... was hoping that the old pistol range would open up to extend the rifle range.

Since consideration is being given to widening the range, I'm wondering if the plans include adding a vehicle lane so us old gimpy guys can actually GET to 200 and 300 yards and return before dark.

I remember there being a roadway in the past but it seems to be blocked off for some reason.
