Time Verses Live Firing of Firearms Empty Time Verses Live Firing of Firearms

Post  justanobody Wed May 23, 2018 9:57 am

What is the earliest time one can commence live firing on any of the gun ranges with firearms?
It has been my understanding it is 0700 hours military time or 7:00AM civilian time.
    Is this correct?

    Thanks

NOTICE-- I am not a club officer nor do I set any rules, this is my opinion and observations--

I do not think there is a set start time, just make sure you have enough light to be safe. I've been on the trap/skeet range as late as midnight with the lights on. I also take my time packing up so I've been on site until dark (I stop on the rifle range around sunset and use the last 20 minutes of light that you can't really see far out to pack) and I've seen folks use car head lights in the pistol pits. I've also seen battery powered spot lights used to light up targets after dark.

I know I've only talked about staying late and not getting there early but I say that to say I'd assume there is no start because I don't think there is a stop time. One of the things I love about this range is that there are only 3 basic rules; Be safe, Do not harm the ranges or any club property, and Be respectful of other shooters. All club rules can be found here http://www.kettlefootgunclub.org/faqs#topic1, there's nothing about time restrictions.
