Turkeys (nothing personal)

Anyone turkey hunting? Having any luck?

I spent the first two days this week in the rain trying to connect with a tom. It was raining heavily Monday morning so I got a late start. I did see a hen walk behind the cabin. Finally got out about 0900 without any luck calling . In the afternoon I did get one to come in and jump up on a downed tree ca 30 yds away. It stayed there about half an hour until something off to the left spooked it. It was in heavy shade the whole time and I couldn't see its head except in shadow or if it had a beard and it never did any displaying. Maybe next week the weather will be better.
