    Walther P22 problem ?? Empty Walther P22 problem ??

    Post  Harrier46 Sun May 17, 2009 8:59 pm

I recently purchased a Walther P22. The first clip of 10 fired (shooting American Eagle) without a hitch. In the second load the first seated round fired as you would expect but the second round (the first one stripped automatically from the clip) jammed. After manually seat that round it fired and the next 8 were stripped automatically form the clip without issue. The same exact scenario repeated itself three more time.

When I returned home and cleaned the gun I also noticed what I thought was excessive wear on the slide and some burring as well. The next day I returned it to where I purchased it and the shop owner returned it that morning to Walther for inspection and replacement or repair.

Just wondering if anyone else has similar experience with the p22. My PKK is rock solid.

I have a P22 and one of the guys I shoot with has one - we have fired hundreds if not thousands of rounds between us and the only problem has been that we have lost a few front sights - they don't fit very well and come out easily. We generally use bulk ammunition for plinking as well.
