    Steyr M9-A1 ?? Empty Steyr M9-A1 ??

    Post  Harrier46 Mon Jun 15, 2009 7:51 pm

If I could find one Smile - they don't seem to be readily available.

I think I might like to buy a Steyr M-9A1 or a M40-A1. Does anyone have experience with either ??

    Thanks,

    Tom

I have a Steyr M9 that I bought three or four years ago. I've only used it lightly, but it has been trouble free. The axis of the bore sits quite low in the hand and I find it quite comfortable. The trapazoidal sights take a lot of getting used to. If I shot it much, I'd change them out for something more traditional. The trigger pull leaves something to be desired but it isn't terrible. Overall, the pistol seems somewhat Glock-like which isn't a bad thing. When I bought mine, they were pretty cheap. I'm not sure what they go for now, or what improvements have been done to the A1 model.

If you can find one, I see no reason not to give it a try.
