1000 Yard Rifle Range . . . ??

I hear rumors of a rifle range complete with steel gongs  that stretches out to 1000 yards due to be operational in October 2018 but see no official announcement anywhere.  


C'mon Admin . . . how about some info! Sure would like to know when, where and anticipated hours of operation.


Also, due to distance involved this range will require special rules and procedures. An online summary of these would also help.  

The 800 / 1200 yard Range should open in the Spring. I have gotten involved here lately and I will see that the road into the range is completed first. Plans are for a 10 benches with a shelter. Hours of operation will depend on the number of Range Officer Volunteers I have. It will only be open when a Range Officer is present.

Wayne, I would need some coaching but if I could help, possibly as a range officer, I would like to be considered for the job.

Is the road going to be over the mountain?
