KETTLEFOOT NEWSLETTER NOVEMBER 2013
**The holidays are fast approaching. How about giving a friend or family member a Kettlefoot membership. Just complete an application, sign it as the sponsor, and send it in with the payment. We'll get their signature later. The membership will begin immediately so they'll get 15 months for the price of 12. Or, if you have a friend or family member who is already a member, paying their dues would be a nice gift. Don't delay - contact the secretary Lynne for details at 276-645-0562 or carpal@bvu.net.
**We hope that everyone is enjoying the new paved road. As you can imagine, this was a very expensive project. If you would like to send a donation to help offset the cost it would be greatly appreciated. Make checks payable to Kettlefoot Inc.and send to P O Box 16095, Bristol, VA 24209.
WHAT ELSE IS NEW?
Automated Ranges. We have completed the automation of 5 Stand and are very close to finishing Sporting Clays and Field #1 for Trap/Skeet. You will purchase a WI-Card for $10 (the $10 is refunded if the card is returned). Then you put what ever amount of money you want on the card. Once your money is depleted you just add more. You can purchase a WI-Card from Keith Vance at the club house on the 1st and 4th Saturday of each month from 11am until 2pm, any Sunday from 10am until 2pm, or contact Keith at 423-360-2640 to arrange a purchase. You will receive instructions on how the automated system operates when you purchase a card.
The lead recovery has gone very well. We have 50 lb. buckets for $63. We owe a big “Thank You” to Jim Lester, Tom Clifton, Wayne Wills, Richard Colley, and Mike Jordan for their hard work.
REMINDERS
1. Please clean up the range when you finish shooting. There are trash cans at every range and we have brooms at the rifle ranges. It only takes a couple of minutes to sweep up shells, pick up hulls, remove your paper targets, or put your food/drink trash in the trash can.
2. Don't forget to sign your guests in. The sign-in sheet and guest badges are on the clip board hanging on the wall next to the water cooler at the main club house.
3. Annual Dues Renewal Notices will be mailed or e-mailed in January.
4. Club activities are listed on the website calendar at www.kettlefootgunclub.org. If you do not have access to the website, all events are on the large calendar hanging in the main club house.
WE HOPE EVERYONE HAS A SAFE AND WONDERFUL HOLIDAY SEASON!
